Six weeks of my summer was spent working as a camp counselor. I have worked at a camp before but I was a lifeguard/swim instructor and was never around the kids for 9 hours a day. This was probably one of the most eye-opening experiences of my life. I learned so much about being patient, organized, sensitive, and a better communicator. Having sixteen 4-5 year olds in my group I really had to be understanding that they were not always going to be on time to their activities, but thats okay because camp is about having fun not rushing around. So many challenges came up throughout the six weeks but I was patient and had to deal with them in an extremely sensitive matter. I'm not sure if I will go back next year but it was definitely a great experience.

In between working at camp, I was also preparing for a move! I moved into the house I will be living in at school. I FINALLY feel like I have everything organized here and I am loving it. Only one of my roomates is living here now and so far we've had some adventures, to say the least!
As if my summer wasn't already busy enough I also work at a restaurant part time and do a lot of babysitting. Somehow though I still have time to enjoy my summer and hang out with my friends.
